After 5 Years away from his home nation, George North signed with the Ospreys for the 2018/19 season and made sure the raucous welsh fans remembered what they were missing on a weekly basis.

His sabbatical from Celtic Rugby included 135 points and 27 tries for the Northampton Saints among and both he and the Ospreys would have been hoping for a quick start to the season and plenty to celebrate.

Chuffed with a couple of meat pies on debut. Things to work on but great first hit out! 👊🏼

The first try of the night came on 58 minutes after a flurry of passes across the pitch finally being released by full-back Dan Evans into the hands of the ever-willing North. Still plenty to do, North slalomed through 2 defenders before dotting down. Standing at 6ft 4in and a somewhat veteran of rugby at the grand old age of 27, North most certainly has not lost the sharp footwork that complements his speed and power.

Flash forward to 68 minutes and North found the opportunity to gather a pass out wide and inside his own half. An eye for the whitewash, ears pinned back, there was no man going to catch him. Over he went for his and the Ospreys second try of the night, scores that would prove clinical in clinching the victory for the home side.
