The campaign is part of Fitbit’s Final Series partnership with PRO14 Rugby that aims to reward fans who turn up to be part of the season-defining action in person ahead of the Guinness PRO14 Final on May 25.
Fans at this weekend’s games in Limerick and Belfast will have a chance to win some of the latest Fitbit smartwatches as Munster taken on Italian side Benetton at Thomond Park and an all-Irish derby sees Ulster and Connacht go head-to-head at Kingspan Stadium.
Fitbit are Europe’s leading wearable brand with an array of award-winning smartwatches and trackers. The tech brand are an ideal match for the Guinness PRO14 which is home to the No 1 team in European rugby and is home to over 300 international players.
Wearable tech is prominent throughout the Guinness PRO14 with every player wearing GPS packs to track their performances, Player Mic devices have also been worn over the past number of seasons and last weekend at Judgement Day the Ospreys and Cardiff Blues players all wore specializedgumshields to help track concussion data.
Throughout the partnership Fitbit and PRO14 Rugby will hold a think tank to see how they and further introduce wearable tech to the match-day experience on and off the pitch for players and fans!
The partnership between Fitbit and PRO14 Rugby will run throughout the Guinness PRO14 Final Series ahead of the Final at Glasgow’s Celtic Park on May 25.
