Round 17 of the Guinness PRO14 conjured up the usual mix of excitement and intrigue for Fantasy managers, with a number of standout performances catching the eye.

Connacht and Glasgow Warriors were the big winners, beating Ospreys and Zebre by large scorelines to reward managers who had stocked up on their star names.

There was also an important bonus-point victory for Ulster away to Dragons, allowing now fewer than three of the province’s players to make their way into the overall Team of the Week.

Powerful loose forward Jordi Murphy bundled his way over for the first score of the game, and his haul of 14 points will have delighted those who had him in their side.

The in form Marty Moore and John Cooney, both impressive in the bonus-point away success, are two others to keep an eye on in the coming weeks as the regular season reaches its climax.

Ulster’s tally was only surpassed by rivals Connacht, who went one better with four names in the lineup.

Matt Healy was one member of that quartet; his scorching try in the 46-5 win at the Sportsground earning him eight Fantasy points and a place in the backs.

Running a smart line to capture a brilliant Tom Farrell pass, the fleet-footed winger dotted down between the posts as Connacht thrilled on home soil.

Try provider Farrell, Guinness Man of the Match Kyle Godwin and Tom McCartney all joined their teammate in earning recognition, with the Irish province now third in Conference A.

Neither Murphy nor Healy, though, matched Glasgow lock Tim Swinson’s Fantasy display over the weekend.

A shining light in the big win in Italy, Swinson notched a try, one assist and excelled at the set-piece as he racked up 16 points over the weekend.

Have any of them done enough to make your team for Round 18 though?
