Calling all fantasy players, you have until kick-off tomorrow to bolster your team with Toyota Cheetahs and Southern Kings players.

The next two weeks of South African derbies (Jan 13th and Jan 20th) will count as one round of Guinness PRO14 Fantasy Rugby so it is important to finalise teams before the action gets underway.

Points for both weekends will be awarded based on the selections made ahead of tomorrow’s game and the usual rule of a maximum of three players per team applies.

Both games will be covered live on SuperSport in South Africa and Sky Sports in the UK/Ireland to ensure you do not miss a second of the action.

To point you in the right direction, here are some players who could prove vital over the coming weeks and should not be overlooked.

Southern Kings

Yaw Penxe will start at full-back for the Kings on Saturday and with four tries to his name already this season, the 20-year-old is one to watch. Currently the top points-scorer for his team, Penxe bagged two tries against Ulster followed up by another at the end of November at Scarlets.

With the highest Kings fantasy value this season, Berton Klaasen at centre could be a useful addition. A tackle machine with 95 tackles this season and an attacking threat, the outside centre may cause the Cheetahs midfield some problems.

From a forward perspective, the return of Bobby de Wee at lock may add some vital points to the line-up. Making up a second-row pairing that retains 96% of its own ball De Wee has made 114 tackles and at 6ft5in will be valuable option in the line-out.

Toyota Cheetahs

Captain Torsten van Jaarsveld is undoubtedly the most important addition to your side. The hooker has scored five tries this season and beaten nine defenders in the process. Van Jaarsveld has been at the centre of everything positive about Cheetahs in the last few weeks and is guaranteed to produce another sterling performance on Saturday.

The Cheetahs top scorer and ultimate speed machine Makazole Mapimpi is one try away from his tenth of the season. Despite low tackle numbers, the winger has gained 705 metres this season already beating 34 defenders. In a game where Cheetahs will look to ask a lot of the Kings defence Mapimpi could be let loose and create chaos for the home team.

Back row power house Paul Schoeman is another candidate for your Fantasy 15. A strong ball-carrier with a deft touch, Schoeman can do it all. Unafraid of taking the ball to the gainline and with his tackle count more than 100, the flanker may cause havoc at the breakdown.

Make sure to finalise your Guinness PRO14 Fantasy Rugby team before kick-off on Saturday
