Newport Gwent Dragons suffered frustration in Europe last time out but lock Matthew Screech claims they can’t afford to dwell on it as they prepare to take on Leinster in the GUINNESS PRO12 this evening.

The Dragons lost 38-5 to Sale Sharks in their Pool Two decider last Thursday, costing themselves a home quarter-final, although they are still through to the last-eight as one of the best runners-up.

They will be at Rodney Parade this evening however as they turn their attention back to the GUINNESS PRO12 by welcoming Leinster, who are also recovering from a heavy European defeat – a 51-10 loss to Wasps.

And Screech is adamant the Sale game will have no bearing on proceedings when the Irish province come to town.

"You have to draw a line under it. You can use it as motivation to some extent but it's another day and it's another week," said Screech.

"We had been building with some good wins and performances and nobody was expecting a loss like that but we are through to the quarters and looking forward to Gloucester.

"We all know that we have good performances in us so we just have to get stuck into Leinster straight away, we can't let them get a foothold.

"We have to be 100 per cent from the off, we are all about dealing with Leinster now and not thinking about Sale."
