jmcconnell 8 Sep 2006

Dwayne Peel and Stephen Jones put the disappointment of defeat against Ulster in Round 1 behind them as they guided The Scarlets to victory of Glasgow Warriors.

The test half back partnership were pivotal in the Scarlets bonus point win with Man of the match Peel claiming one of the Scarlets´ five tries while 19-year-old wing Darren Daniel crossed for a hat-trick and young centre Gavin Evans touching down for the other.

The Warriors were forced to play second best for long periods of the game a but only trailed by 2 at the break before, with Glasgow flanker Donnie Macfadyen in the bin the Scarlets blasted three tries in only five minutes. To their credit, Glasgow never threw in the towel and were rewarded with consolation scores for John Barclay and wing Colin Shaw.
