Cardiff Blues notched five tries as they completed a Celtic League double over Glasgow Warriors with a comprehensive 31-3 victory at the Arms Park.
The Blues took charge of the contest in the opening period with a brace of tries from Mike Phillips and Nicky Robinson.
Scrum-half Phillips conjured the first for himself by producing an incisive break off a lineout to go over unopposed.
Robinson added the extras before benefitting from some opportunistic work from his side soon after.
The ball went to ground during a Warriors’ attack and was pounced upon by the Blues with Jamie Robinson and Craig Morgan hacking the ball on before Nicky Robinson got the crucial touch for the try.Dan Parks pulled three points back when Martyn Williams was penalised for a high tackle but the Blues were to end the half on the ascendency.
Skipper Rhys Williams took advantage of some half-hearted defence to put wing Chris Czekaj in at the corner.
The hosts picked up where they left off after the break, with the Blues’ pack doing the damage before Martyn Williams touched down.
Nicky Robinson once again converted.
The scoring was rounded out with replacement flanker Andy Powell grabbing the home side’s fifth try of the game before Robinson added the conversion.
