The Glasgow Warriors bench has been confirmed for Friday night’s historic RaboDirect PRO12 game against Scarlets at Scotstoun Stadium (kick-off 7.35pm).

Head coach Gregor Townsend can call on three strong front row replacement options in the shape of Gordon Reid, Mike Cusack and Dougie Hall.

Lock/back-row James Eddie, meanwhile, is set for his first competitive involvement in front of the Warriors crowd since suffering a shoulder injury back in January.

2011/12 triple Player of the Season Chris Fusaro (pictured) is also among the replacements, with back-line cover provided by scrum-half Henry Pyrgos, stand-off Duncan Weir, and centre Peter Horne.

Townsend told www.glasgowwarriors.org: “As ever, Friday night will require a real 23-man effort from our group.

“We’re extremely happy with the quality we have on the bench, as was the case against Ulster last weekend. The players who came on at Ravenhill certainly made a significant impact, and we’ll be looking to this week’s replacements to do likewise.

“We’ve now had our team run on the main pitch at Scotstoun Stadium and can’t wait to get out there on Friday.
“It’s a huge night for the whole club and everyone connected with Glasgow Warriors is raring to go.”

Fewer than 1,500 tickets remain on sale for Friday’s match against Scarlets.

With walk-up sales for similar games in previous seasons having matched or exceeded that number, supporters are strongly advised to purchase their tickets in advance.

Tickets can be purchased via www.glasgowwarriors.org or over the phone, by calling 0844 800 3490.

Tickets purchased by Midnight on match-day (i.e. Thursday night into Friday morning) offer a £5 saving on match-day adult, student, and senior citizen prices.
All supporters are strongly advised to arrive at Scotstoun Stadium as early as possible for Friday’s match to familiarise themselves with our new surroundings.

Turnstiles, bars and the Glasgow Warriors clubhouse will open at 6pm.
