Prop Jamie Hagan insists Leinster must match Glasgow’s desire if they’re to maintain their unbeaten run at Firhill.

Leinster made it 12 RaboDirect PRO12 victories in a row on Friday night thanks to Fergus McFadden’s last-gasp penalty in the 16-13 defeat of Scarlets.

The following night Glasgow were held to a 13-13 draw at Connacht to slip to fourth in the table, with Munster leaping up to third and CardiffBlues closing the gap to two points.

Indeed while Leinster celebrated a late success thanks to McFadden’s effort, the Warriors were stung bya late penalty from Niall O’Connor and Hagan admits their Scottish challengers will need no motivation.

“I thought we showed great character towards the end [on Friday], the lads stuck together and went through the phases and got the ball back eventually and got the penalty and Ferg held his nerve to kick it,” Hagan told the official Leinster website.

“He’s a serious kicker and that’s what he does, he puts those kicks over under pressure for you.

“They’re going to be tough over there. We played them in the Heineken Cup over there and it is not a nice place to go.

“They’re quite strong at home but they’re a quite strong team. They’re going to be wanting to win especially after the draw in Galway at the weekend.

“Hopefully we can go over there and stick to our plan and do a job on them. Connacht didn’t do us any favours as they’re going to be really gunning for us in this match.”
