Ospreys fly-half Biggar impresses with ball in hand

Ospreys boss Sean Holley hailed the performances of half-backs Kahn Fotuali’i and Dan Biggar for their performances in the RaboDirect PRO12 draw against the Scarlets.

Samoan scrum-half Fotuali’I won the RaboDirectPRO12 man-of-the-match award for his action-packed performance on his first start alongside compatriot George Stowers.

Biggar meanwhile, has been in sensational form for the Ospreys, racking up 104 points for the club which has taken him into third place on the region’s all-time leading points scorer at the age of just 22.

And Holley is hoping for bigger and better things from his half-back duo.

“I thought Kahn was particularly physical. For his first start, it reminded me very much of when Justin (Marshall) first came to us,” he said.

“It's about reading each other and that will take a little bit of time, but he's an excellent professional.

“He's been good with us so far and I think he showed he's a dangerous player. George, well we knew all about him from last year with London Irish and it's showing already what we've got with these two.

"We love Dan to bits and he deserves credit for his achievement. He takes some stick but he keeps producing doesn't he?

“Not just points, for a young man he drives us, he's diligent and professional, he's everything in terms of values that we want at the Ospreys.

“He's a local lad, he's young, and we're big fans of him. He carries a lot of burden and that's a big record but it's nice for a 22-year-old to knock it off."
