Munster’s Paul O’Connell is ruling out looking beyond this weekend and to a possible Magners League Grand Final and is focused on the task in hand, facing the reigning Champions the Ospreys in the semi-finals.

It will be the fifth meeting between the sides this season. Each won their respective home games in the European Cup but Munster, who finished top of the Magners League table completed the double over their Welsh opponents in the Celtic League this season.

"The way things are going for us we just have to look at the Ospreys and not beyond it,” O’Connell told the Irish Examiner.

“That has to be our biggest game of the year, treat that as our last game of the year and as if there’s nothing beyond it."

"Next week becomes a massive game for us. We’re at home again. Last week (against Harlequins) we were at home and we just didn’t produce the goods. Whatever about not playing well, we just didn’t produce the level of intensity and desire we want to play with and we can guarantee that will be there next Saturday."
