Gray – We need to cut errors

Richie Gray may have been on the losing side for Scotland at the weekend but once again the Glasgow second-row shone on the international stage and he has warned that his side must cut out the errors ahead of the visit of Wales this weekend.

The 21-year-old was on fine form in Paris as he earned his seventh cap and even though Scotland ran in three tries Gray believes they must ‘sharpen up’ if they are to beat Wales at Murrayfield on Saturday.

"As a team we are ultimately disappointed," he said.

"The guys played really well, but we made mistakes that cost us so we will be fully focused on making sure these same errors do not happen against Wales.

“W gave away too many simple turnovers and that has left us frustrated. The French are probably the best counter attacking team in the world and you just can not do that against a team like them.

"For a team to score three tries in France is pretty exceptional and we want to get a few more against Wales. They were unlucky against England and they will be upset too at being beaten, so will come out at Murrayfield with all guns blazing."
