Leinster and Ulster will flag the flag for the Magners League sides in the knock-out stages of this season’s European Cup.

Leinster finished top of Pool 2 winning five out of six matches on their way to the knock-out stages. There impressive victory on the road against Racing-Metro at the weekend earned them a crucial home tie and they will face double European Champions Leicester Tigers.

Even though the RDS holds more than the minimum capacity to host a quarter-final game it is a possibility that Leinster will move the game to the Aviva Stadium.

Ulster qualified as one of two best runners-up and will travel to England to face Northampton Saints. It is the first time they have made the knock-out stages since lifting the trophy back in 1999.

The Saints are second in the English premiership and were the only side to come out of the Pool stage unbeaten.

The other two quarter-finals are all-French affairs, Biarritz Olympique hosting Toulouse in a repeat of the 2010 Final and Toulon travelling to line up against Perpignan.

The quarter-final games will take place over the weekend of the 8/9/10 April 2011.
